Job summary

TetriQ Solutions is seeking a Senior Backend Developer in Amsterdam to design, build, and scale backend systems in a cloud-native environment. You will be hands-on, delivering high-quality services and collaborating across teams to shape architectural decisions.

Key focus areas include Java/Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and cloud deployments with CI/CD. You will drive performance, reliability, and best practices across the backend stack.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficient in Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Strong design and implementation of microservices architectures.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Solid SQL and NoSQL database experience.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and build tools.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and support microservices-based architectures with high availability and performance.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing and integration testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes.
