YO IT Consulting in Amsterdam, Netherlands, is seeking a Senior Backend Developer with deep Java and Spring Boot expertise to design, build, and scale backend systems in a cloud-native setting. The role demands hands-on engineering, cross-team collaboration, and influencing architectural choices.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with microservices, REST APIs, cloud platforms, and Docker, and will contribute to robust, scalable services across the stack.

Formación

• Total 8 to 15 years of experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on backend development experience.
• 8+ years of Java development and Spring Boot.
• Solid experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Experience with REST APIs, messaging, and asynchronous processing.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Good experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and build tools.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployment.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and support microservices-based architectures with high availability and performance.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes.
