Job summary

ITProposal in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced IT Platform Engineer with strong Python and Azure expertise to design, develop, and deploy reliable software platforms across the full lifecycle.

You will apply DevOps practices, IaC with Terraform, and data governance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud-based solutions in an onsite Amsterdam setting.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in software/platform engineering.
• Strong Python, OO design, and software architecture.
• Hands-on Azure cloud experience.
• Terraform IaC and best practices.
• DevOps, CI/CD, and incremental delivery.
• Data Governance frameworks (Unity Catalog).
• SQL/NoSQL databases; Cosmos DB is advantageous.
• SOLID, design patterns, and DDD.
• Experience with pytest and testing frameworks.
• Onsite work in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain platform components with Python.
• Build and operate solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and DDD.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB).
• Ensure adherence to Data Governance practices (Unity Catalog).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment.
• Write robust unit tests with pytest.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for secure, scalable platforms.
• Participate in planning and design reviews.
