Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design and implement robust data platform solutions in Amsterdam. You will develop cloud-native capabilities on Azure, apply SOLID principles, and collaborate with tech stakeholders to align solutions with business goals.

The role emphasizes Terraform-based IaC, CI/CD, and automated testing using pytest, with opportunities to mentor peers and contribute to platform reliability and security across the data lake ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience with Python and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Experience with Azure Databricks and enterprise data platforms.
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and software delivery practices.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (pytest preferred).
• Experience working with cloud SDKs and platform automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust, secure, and high-quality solutions for the Enterprise Data Lake platform.
• Build and maintain scalable cloud-native data platform capabilities using Microsoft Azure.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and domain-driven design (DDD).
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and IT stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and fault tolerance.
• Contribute to automated testing strategies using frameworks such as pytest and mocking.
• Support knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
