Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Cloud, Platform, or DevOps Engineer.
• 1-2 years managing Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
• Professional proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Kubernetes and data migration experience are a plus.

Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (Azure) | Shape a platform serving 20+ teams | Leading airline

A well-known airline is expanding its Cloud Center of Excellence and is looking for two Senior Cloud Platform Engineers to join its Azure Platform Team. You'll help run the central Azure platform that supports more than twenty product teams and collaborates closely with the organisation's French operations. Current priorities include GitHub rollout as the development platform, alongside ongoing work on Azure networking, automation, and cloud adoption.

About the role

You’ll design, build, and continuously improve the Azure platform, working closely with development teams, architects, and operations to deliver a secure, scalable, and future-proof cloud environment. This is a hands‑on engineering role with real influence over platform direction, starting as a supplier/contracting arrangement with the intention to move to permanent employment after one year. Preferred start is September, no later than October.

You will:

• Design and build core Azure platform capabilities, including networking (vWAN, Hub & Spoke, ExpressRoute, Application Gateways, VNets, NSGs) and Azure security
• Drive Infrastructure as Code practices using Bicep or Terraform, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Manage and optimise Azure DevOps and/or GitHub as the organisation’s development platform
• Coach teams and guide stakeholders across departments through cloud adoption and platform best practices

Who are you?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Cloud, Platform, or DevOps Engineer
• 1-2 years managing Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
• Strong hands‑on Microsoft Azure expertise, including networking and Azure security
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform) and CI/CD
• Professional proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus
• Kubernetes and data migration experience are a plus
