Job summary

Gazelle Global seeks a Senior Azure Cloud Network Engineer to own and optimize a hybrid infrastructure. The role focuses on hands-on Azure networking, security, and Kubernetes within the Azure ecosystem, requiring ownership of network changes and incident resolution.

In this payroll contract, you will work across on‑premises and Azure, configuring Hub‑Spoke networks, ExpressRoute, VNets, and NVAs while collaborating with connectivity, security, and platform teams to ensure continuity.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Azure networking and hybrid connectivity experience.

• Operational experience with Kubernetes in the Azure environment.
• Hands-on experience with Check Point NGFW in production.
• Experience with ExpressRoute, VNets, NVAs and Hub-Spoke patterns.

Hours: 36–40 hours per week, preferably across 5 days

Contract Type: Payroll contract only – no ZZP/freelance

Duration: Long‑term contract with possibility of extension

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Network Engineer to join a Connectivity & Security Infrastructure team responsible for the operation and continuous improvement of a complex hybrid infrastructure environment.

This is a highly hands‑on operational role requiring strong practical experience across Azure networking, hybrid connectivity, network security and Kubernetes within the Azure ecosystem.

This is not a general Cloud Engineer position. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of network changes, troubleshoot complex incidents and contribute directly within a production infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support complex Azure and hybrid network environments
• Execute network changes across on‑premises and Microsoft Azure infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, outages and connectivity issues
• Manage Azure networking technologies including Hub‑Spoke architectures, VNets, NVAs and ExpressRoute
• Work hands‑on with Check Point Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
• Support and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments within the Azure stack
• Support application and platform teams with networking and connectivity‑related issues
• Handle operational incidents, changes, service requests and technical tickets
• Identify and implement improvements across networking and infrastructure
• Contribute to Infrastructure‑as‑Code and automation initiatives
• Take ownership of the stability and continuity of the environment
• Collaborate closely with connectivity, security, cloud and platform engineers
• Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on experience managing complex Microsoft Azure environments and hybrid networks
• Strong operational experience with Azure Networking
• Strong knowledge of:
• VNets
• Network Virtual Appliances (NVAs)
• ExpressRoute
• Strong hands‑on Check Point NGFW experience – mandatory
• Practical Kubernetes experience within a Microsoft Azure environment
• Strong production troubleshooting and incident‑resolution experience
• Good understanding of networking and network security principles
• Experience working in operational/BAU infrastructure environments
• Familiarity with ITIL, Lean/Agile and DevOps ways of working

This position is available on a payroll contract only. ZZP/freelance candidates cannot be considered.

Candidates whose Azure experience is limited to occasional use, application‑level cloud work or purely project‑based implementations will not be suitable.

We are specifically looking for engineers with strong operational Azure networking expertise, Check Point NGFW experience and Kubernetes experience within the Azure ecosystem.
