Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is assisting a leading Dutch managed services/hosting organization in Amsterdam. They seek Azure engineers/architects to design, build, and optimize mission-critical platforms with a strong automation focus; engineers will push towards serverless, AI, and big data initiatives. Amsterdam Area; 3 days per week in office.

The team is engineering-driven, with long-term client partnerships and in-house hands-on leadership across architecture and delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience with Azure.
• Solid experience with Terraform.
• Scripting/development skills in Go and/or Python.
• Above all, an automation mindset — automate by default.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimize Azure-based platforms for clients.
• Automate deployments with IaC and scripting (Go/Python).
• Contribute to architecture and hands-on engineering in-house.

Job description

One of the top organizations in the Dutch managed services/hosting market is looking for Azure engineers and architects to join its teams. The organization is solely focused on mission-critical systems, applications, and complete critical landscapes. Designing, building and optimizing platforms for their clients. It's a highly engineering-driven, bottom-up company, with 80% of employees being engineers. Because the focus is on client satisfaction and top-quality delivery, most client relationships grow into long-term partnerships, giving the engineering teams real room to optimize and go deep. Not a hit-and-run servicing shop.

The company works with dedicated client teams who are constantly pushing the platforms to the next level. They have a full mandate from their customers, so all high-level architecture, technical design, and hands-on engineering happen in-house. Many teams already run their environments on Azure, and the next steps involve moving towards serverless, implementing AI, or kickstarting big data projects. New clients are also knocking on the door, looking for help moving critical applications to the public cloud or maturing their current platform setup.

With rising demand, there are multiple openings across different teams, focused on (Senior) Azure Engineers, Architects, and/or people with Technical Lead potential.

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure;
• Solid experience with Terraform
• Scripting/development skills in Go and/or Python;
• Above all, a genuine automation mindset — someone who automates by default, not as an afterthought;
• A clear vision on IT and technical solutions, showing initiative and bringing your own opinion.

Nice to haves:

• Kubernetes experience is a nice-to-have;
