Job summary

Keylane in Utrecht is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to evolve our network from a strong VMware NSX foundation toward combined private and public cloud environments, with a roadmap to hybrid solutions. You will design, implement, and operate network infrastructures supporting our SaaS platforms, on-premise and in Azure.

You will work at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and operations, shaping Azure network foundations and preparing the organization for future hybrid connectivity

Qualifications

• You are an experienced Network Engineer with datacenter and cloud networking expertise.
• Security is a core part of your network design and operations.
• You have hands-on experience with: OSPF, BGP, HSRP, vPC, IPsec VPN, SNAT/DNAT, and PBR.
• You have experience designing and implementing Azure networking solutions (VNet design, routing, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway and/or ExpressRoute).
• You have a technical degree or equivalent experience.
• You take ownership, work proactively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Transitioning from VMware NSX to Cisco ACI.
• Designing and implementing Azure network architectures (VNets, routing, security).
• Laying the groundwork for future private-public cloud connectivity (VPN / ExpressRoute).
• Selecting and positioning new network components (switches, firewalls).
• Decommissioning legacy environments.
• Designing and improving a secure and hardened network architecture across private and public domains.
