We are looking for a highly hands-on and technically skilled Azure Cloud Engineer who can manage day-to-day Azure cloud operations and support cloud transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Azure Landing Zones, Azure IaaS/PaaS, Infrastructure as Code, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management.
The candidate should be comfortable working with project and workload teams, resolving technical issues, and supporting the continuous improvement of the Azure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Azure cloud transformation initiatives.
- Deploy, manage, and maintain Azure cloud resources, including:
- Virtual Machines
- Networking
- Storage
- Other Azure infrastructure services
- Design and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using:
- Bicep
- ARM Templates
- Automate recurring operational tasks using:
- PowerShell
- Bash
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
- Handle Azure cloud incidents and problems, including troubleshooting and resolution.
- Use cloud-native monitoring tools to provide application-level insights.
- Configure and manage Azure monitoring, dashboards, and alerting systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot OS-related issues and defects.
- Perform and support OS patching activities.
- Support workload and project teams with technical issues and solution design.
- Document infrastructure changes, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to an Agile way of working.
- Provide on-call support for P1 incidents during offline hours.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud Management.
- Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS management and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Azure Landing Zones.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native tools.
- Experience with Bicep and ARM Templates.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash.
- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Azure monitoring, dashboarding, and alerting.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID.
- Strong Azure troubleshooting and incident/problem management skills.
- Experience with OS troubleshooting and patching.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Strong documentation skills for infrastructure changes and operational procedures.
- Willingness to participate in P1 on-call support.
- Dutch-speaking with sufficient English communication skills.

- Strong ability to simplify and explain technical concepts.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Experience with Azure Container Registry (ACR).
