Job summary

Stoneridge, Inc. in Barneveld, Netherlands, is seeking a Systems Engineer to translate stakeholder needs into detailed ECU system specifications and architecture.

You will define subsystem behavior and interfaces and ensure seamless integration with software, hardware and the operating environment. You will work with cross-functional teams to evaluate concepts, perform analyses, and drive robust solutions meeting performance, quality, and safety objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems engineering experience in automotive, agricultural, or heavy equipment industries.
• Experience in ECU systems, embedded controls, diagnostics, and vehicle communication architectures.
• Proficiency with requirements management and system modelling tools such as DOORS NG, Polarion, Capella, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear functional and non-functional system requirements.
• Develop and maintain system architecture, elements, and interfaces with defined definitions.
• Perform system modelling, simulations, and trade-off analyses to support technical decisions.
• Collaborate with software, functional safety, cybersecurity, electrical and mechanical engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with standards and internal processes including ECU System FMEA.
