Job summary

Stoneridge is seeking a systems engineer to translate stakeholder requirements into robust system specifications. You will decompose complex needs, design architectures, and manage interfaces while aligning with safety and cybersecurity standards.

This role engages with software, electrical, and verification teams to ensure compliant, high‑quality systems. Ideal candidates have a BSc in a technical field and 3–5 years of systems engineering experience in automotive or related sectors, plus

Qualifications

BSc in a technical discipline (Systems/Automotive/Software/Electrical).
3–5 years of experience as a systems engineer in automotive/heavy equipment or agriculture sectors.
Knowledge of requirements engineering and system architectural design.
Familiarity with requirements management tools (Doors NG, Polarion) and system modeling tools (SMW/Capella).
Nice to have knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Cyber Security (ISO 21434), ASPICE, UNE ECE R46.

Responsibilities

Decompose customer and business requirements into functional and non‑functional system requirements.
Analyze, evaluate, prioritize, structure and peer review the system requirements.
Develop the system architectural design and specify system elements.
Define and manage interfaces, analyze the architectural design and perform peer reviews.
Perform system modeling, simulation, and trade-off analyses to support design decisions.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (software, safety, cybersecurity, electrical, verification, PM).
Ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements and company policies.
Develop and maintain the system FMEA.
Assist with business acquisition by assessing technical feasibility and risk for RFQ/RFI and change requests.
