Job summary

VIA Logistics (Netherlands) is seeking an (Senior) Automation Engineer to own end-to-end automation projects in a warehouse and contract logistics environment. You will translate operational challenges into future-proof solutions in material handling, robotics and warehouse automation, collaborating with operations, management, customers and suppliers across the EMEA region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Technology, Operations or Business Administration.
• At least three years of relevant project ownership experience.
• Experience with automation projects in contract logistics or 3PL.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent English communication skills, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate automation concepts and solutions.
• Coordinate RFQ processes with engineering and procurement teams.
• Build, validate and champion business cases with costs, benefits and risk assessments.
• Support contract negotiations with procurement and legal teams.
• Take responsibility for implementation and go-live phases of automation projects.
• Manage project planning, stakeholders and interdependencies.
• Work with data, translating calculations, scenarios and analyses into clear insights.
• Balance multiple projects within an organisation facing various engineering challenges.
