Job summary

Epona is seeking a senior engineer to own AI features across the full stack, including .NET services, Office add-ins for Excel and Outlook, the web UI, and Azure infrastructure.

You will work with Azure OpenAI, vector search, and semantic reasoning to deliver practical AI capabilities that meet real user needs while collaborating with sales and consultants to scope feasible use cases.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional development experience.
• Strong C#/.NET expertise for services, APIs and async workers.
• Proficient with TypeScript for front-end work.
• Hands-on with Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Foundry and prompt design.
• Experience shipping AI features used by real users.
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation and vector search.
• Able to explain model capabilities to non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI features across the full stack: .NET services, Office add-ins, web UI, and Azure infra.
• Lead AI feature design, from concept to production delivery and cost considerations.
• Implement MS 365 integrations using Graph SDK and SharePoint CSOM.
• Prototype quickly, and validate feasibility with sales and consultants.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure reliable, traceable AI outputs.
