Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. in the Netherlands seeks a Senior AI Platform Engineer/AI Architect to design and build production-grade AI systems on Microsoft Azure. You will implement AI-native engineering workflows, define agent architectures and ensure governance and operability at scale.

You will work with architects, engineers and client teams on solutions that blend speed with production discipline, mentoring peers and delivering reusable platform components.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software/ cloud engineering or platform engineering experience.
• Hands-on GenAI, RAG, agentic systems and AI platform automation.
• Production-grade APIs, back-end services and infra automation.
• Strong Azure knowledge and cloud-native architectures.
• Security, logging, observability, cost optimization and operational readiness.
• Experience mentoring teams and guiding AI SDLC with governance.

Responsibilities

• Build RAG pipelines, AI assistants, agent workflows, AI gateway components and MCP-based integrations.
• Deliver reusable platform elements and templates for client teams.
• Implement Azure AI solutions using Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, AKS and Cosmos DB.
• Create AI-native engineering workflows with GitHub Copilot, Actions and Advanced Security.
• Create CI/CD pipelines, IaC automation, observability stacks and deployment frameworks.
• Own workstreams such as retrieval, orchestration, AI gateways or Copilot enablement.
• Mentor engineers, review code and guide AI-assisted SDLC with governance.
