Job summary

Xomnia in Amsterdam is seeking an AI for Energy & Utilities Practice Lead to drive the practice as the technical heart of client work. You’ll combine ML engineering with consultancy to deliver AI that works for energy and utilities clients, guiding specialists and ensuring measurable impact on projects.

You’ll shape offerings, support proposals and build demos while growing the practice. Fluent English and Dutch are required; benefits include a development budget, team trips, and vibrant office

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience as a machine learning engineer or data scientist.
• Consultancy experience within the energies & utilities sector.
• Proven ability to translate energy and utilities challenges into AI solutions.
• Experience moving ML from prototype to production with model architecture and MLOps.
• Strong communication with engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Client consulting and delivery across energy & utilities projects.
• Technical leadership, review designs and develop reusable AI methodologies.
• Shape and develop the energy & utilities practice with the unit lead.
• Support commercial pursuits: scoping, proposals, demos and proof-of-concepts.
