Job summary

The role focuses on shaping AI-native engineering practices, developing AI agents, and agentic workflows across the Software Development Lifecycle, while maintaining a hands-on engineering approach and collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with AI-assisted software development.
• Experience with agentic software development and AI agents.
• Experience in large enterprise environments.
• Developing practical engineering standards or frameworks around AI-assisted development.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Help design and shape an AI-native software development lifecycle.
• Contribute hands-on to the development of a modern engineering environment and developer toolchain.
• Implement AI-assisted and agentic development workflows.
• Embed quality, security and compliance mechanisms into engineering processes.
• Ensure developers and AI agents have access to the correct knowledge, context and tooling.
• Develop and maintain an internal AI Engineering Playbook.
• Improve the developer experience through automation, standardisation and reusable engineering practices.
• Support development teams adopting new AI-native ways of working.
• Coach and guide the wider developer community.
• Establish measurable insights into the impact of AI on Security, Engineering efficiency, and related areas.
• Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organisation.
