Job summary

FincoEnergies in Rotterdam is seeking an Accounting Employee to join the Road & Marine finance team. You will ensure accurate daily financial operations, perform month-end closures, reconciliations, VAT filings and support audits while collaborating across entities and with the FincoEnergies group.

You bring HBO level or equivalent experience, 5+ years in a similar role, strong Dutch and English, advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) and experience with Microsoft Business Central and Blue10;

Qualifications

• Higher educational level (HBO) or working level.
• 5+ years of work experience in a similar role.
• Result-driven, proactive and accurate mindset.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience preparing VAT returns and month-end closing.
• Strong knowledge of Excel (PivotTables and VLOOKUP).
• Experience with ERP systems - Microsoft Business Central and Blue10.
• Knowledge of fuels or energy trading is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily financial operations: process transactions and validate invoices.
• Post invoices to cost centers and manage supplier inquiries.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable reporting and follow-up.
• Contribute to month- and year-end close, reporting and audits.
• Coordinate with backoffice and finance teams within the division and group.
