This role is a 6-month FTC

This position will work out of the Netherlands Office in Nieuwegein. The Senior Accountant will be hands-on and will be responsible for providing management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, reviewing fluctuations, and monitoring financial transactions and changes to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to respond to questions and special requests from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner. It is essential that the Senior Accountant be accountable, detail oriented, and adaptable to ensure deadlines are met timely and with a high degree of accuracy.

What You Will Do

• Lead the monthly close process by preparing adjusting journal entries, performing detailed account analysis, and providing deliverables to senior management, including the reporting of gross profit;
• Ensure integrity of financial transaction data by analyzing and reconciling results from reporting system to general ledger, where variances arise that these be proactively raised and followed up on to resolution;
• Prepare complex analyses and comprehensive explanations of transactions including documentation for external auditors;
• Work on Finance transformation projects which mainly are focused around the automation and documentation of manual processes used within the close process.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of experience in Corporate Accounting and/or Auditing;
• Quantitative aptitudes and experience in building scalable solutions and processes to solve problems, strengthen internal controls, and increase quality.
• Must be proficient in Excel;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
