Job summary

Huisman in Schiedam is seeking a Senior Account Manager Services to be the primary commercial contact for customers in their service portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of account management experience, and strong communication skills in English.

About the Position

As Senior Account Manager Services, you are the primary commercial point of contact for customers within our service portfolio. You build and maintain strong customer relationships, identify service opportunities and ensure customer requests are handled effectively throughout the organisation. You proactively identify commercial opportunities within existing and new customer relationships and translate these into suitable service solutions such as inspections, repairs, maintenance, spare parts, (project) modifications, upgrades and guaranteed issues. These requests are handled in the organisation, and you monitor the progress.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and translate them into suitable service solutions.
• Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate terms and secure customer agreements.
• Monitor customer developments and identify opportunities to expand service activities.
• Build long‑term relationships with key customer contacts and act as a trusted partner.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction whilst maintaining Huisman’s quality and safety standards.

You Have

• Bachelor level, Technical or Commercial or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in account management, sales or customer‑facing commercial roles within the offshore, maritime or heavy lifting industry.
• Experience with service contracts, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements, prioritise effectively and remain productive in a dynamic environment.
• Practical, solution‑oriented mindset and strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Practical Requirements

• An EU passport or valid work permit for The Netherlands.
• Good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
