Huisman in Schiedam, Netherlands, seeks an entry-level Service Technician to join a globally operating team. You will gain practical experience by servicing, fault finding, commissioning and testing offshore equipment while receiving training and supervision to develop technical skills for advancement to Service Engineer.

Qualifications

• Completed MBO in technical subjects, such as Electrical Engineering, Production Technology or Automotive Engineering.
• A proactive attitude.
• The ability to adapt quickly to new requirements and to prioritise.
• The drive to experience a great deal and explore the world with a good team around you.
• EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands; English language skills required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, analysing, localising and helping to solve faults;
• Assisting in inspections, repairs and modifications;
• Providing support in drawing up reports about the work performed for the operational manager and the customer;
• Discussing ideas with the customer about the use, maintenance and new developments of their equipment.

About The Position Of Service Technician

What to expect of the Service Technician position within Huisman? Are you ready to take the first step in the world of offshore? As a Service Technician, you acquire practical experience by performing services, fault finding, commissioning and testing on the biggest offshore equipment in the world. In this entry-level position, you receive the training and supervision you need to develop your technical skills and build your career. You will also get the opportunity to continue your growth to more specialised technical positions, such as the role of Service Engineer.
