Job summary

Clink Hostels Ltd in Amsterdam is seeking a Hostel Team Member to join the Security Team on a part-time, zero-hour contract.

You will be a visible, friendly presence across reception, social spaces, bar, and corridors, helping with check-ins, guest queries, and keeping noise and safety in check. Shifts include mornings, evenings, and weekends.

• Excellent guest-service and communication skills.

Your mission

We're on the lookout for a vibrant and reliable individual to join our Security Team as Hostel Team Member! In this role, youll help us keep our hostel welcoming, safe, and full of good vibes - whether its the middle of the day or the middle of the night.

This is a zero hour contract, we work in a 24/7 operation and there may be a mix of day and night shifts depending on availability and operational needs. Youll report into the Security Team Leader and Front of House Manager and play a key role in creating a safe and enjoyable environment for both guests and the team.

Security at Clink is all about ensuring that every guest feels secure, relaxed, and supported. Whether youre welcoming early arrivals, helping guests heading out to explore, or keeping an eye on things after hours, youre always there with a calm, friendly presence.

Your tasks may include:

• Being a visible and approachable presence around the hostel - reception, social spaces, the bar, hallways, and more
• Supporting the reception team with check-ins, guest queries, and café service
• Doing regular walkthroughs to manage noise levels and ensure guest safety
• Monitoring outdoor areas and staying connected with your team via radio
• Bringing a positive, can-do energy and making sure shift tasks are completed smoothly

Youre someone who enjoys variety in your work and is comfortable working across both day and night shifts. You're great with people, stay calm under pressure, and love being part of an inclusive and upbeat team.
