Overview

Cyber Security Analyst – ALTEN Netherlands, Rotterdam region. ALTEN Netherlands is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to support clients across the Rotterdam region. You will help organizations strengthen their security through vulnerability assessments, alerting, and translating security data into actionable business insights. This role is ideal for professionals who want hands-on support in setting up and managing security operations for clients new to cybersecurity.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability scans and risk analysis to identify security gaps
• Monitor security alerts and trends using SIEM tools
• Use SQL, Python, and data visualization techniques to analyze security data
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to translate technical findings into business recommendations
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate checks (shift-left security)
• Implement SAST, DAST, OWASP controls, and vulnerability scanning
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed secure coding and tooling
• Work with platforms and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, GitHub, Nexus

Your Profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or a related role
• Solid knowledge of SIEM, risk analysis, and vulnerability management
• Comfortable working with SQL and Python for data analysis and visualization
• Fluent in Dutch and English (Dutch required)
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, analytical mindset
• Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive cybersecurity environment
