Job summary

A leading technology consulting firm in Capelle aan den IJssel is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to enhance quality and reliability of software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree and at least 5 years’ experience in testing roles, with strong knowledge of testing methodologies and automation frameworks. Collaborating in multidisciplinary teams, you will design test plans, perform tests, and improve CI/CD processes. This position offers a permanent contract, car lease, and excellent employee benefits.

The Role

To strengthen our team in Capelle aan den IJssel, we are looking for an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer. In this role, you will directly contribute to the quality and reliability of software solutions for our clients. You will work in multidisciplinary teams on innovative projects across a variety of industries.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and executing test plans and test cases for software applications
• Performing functional, regression, acceptance, and performance testing
• Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects
• Collaborating with development teams to implement test automation and improve CI/CD processes
• Reporting test results and providing recommendations for quality improvements

Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO) in an IT-related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role within software development
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and test automation frameworks
• Proactive mindset with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English
• Team player with a curious and eager-to-learn attitude
