Job summary

ALTEN Netherlands is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain high-quality C++ software for client projects. You will translate specifications into robust code with attention to performance and scalability, and contribute to testing and code reviews.

Requirements include HBO/WO IT education and 4–5 years of C++ experience, fluent English (Dutch a bonus), and strong analytical and communication skills. Hybrid work and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Senior C++ Software Engineer - ALTEN Netherlands

The Position

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to ongoing client projects.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications using the C++ programming language.
• Translating technical specifications into robust and efficient code, taking into account performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Ensuring the quality of the software products through unit tests and code reviews.

Your Profile

• You have a completed HBO or WO education in an IT-related field.
• Knowledge of C++ and at least 4-5 years of experience in designing, developing and maintaining software applications.
• You are fluent in English. Dutch is a big bonus.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle complex technical problems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and with the customer.
• A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning and growing.
