GroundIQ, part of Fugro, seeks a Scientific Product Engineer who can bridge science and product development by turning cutting-edge research, algorithms, and models into reliable software solutions used on real-world infrastructure projects.

The role covers end-to-end ownership, collaboration with users, and work across the tech stack from frontend to cloud, with a strong focus on Python and scientific computing.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic background in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, typically MSc or PhD level.
  • 4+ years of experience building and delivering software products with end-to-end ownership.
  • Experience transforming scientific research, algorithms, or prototypes into production-ready solutions.
  • Experience across the technology stack with strong expertise in Python and scientific computing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in ambiguous, research-driven environments.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity and quality, while maintaining a pragmatic, collaborative, and user-focused mindset.

Overview

GroundIQ, part of Fugro, combines advanced ground imaging with geotechnical data to help engineers understand the subsurface. We are seeking a Scientific Product Engineer who can bridge science and product development by turning cutting-edge research, algorithms, and models into reliable software solutions used on real-world infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
