Job summary

Lavastica International is seeking a flexible Sales Representative to join our Inside Sales team from our Rotterdam office. You will support the sales process with daily customer contact, quotations, enquiries, and orders, acting as the bridge between customers, Senior Sales Account Managers, and internal departments.

Qualifications

• You have at least MBO+ level education and working experience.
• You preferably have at least 2 years of experience in an inside sales or commercial support role.
• Good command of English; another foreign language is a plus.
• Customer-oriented with eye for detail.
• Experience with ERP systems (Exact Online) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team with daily customer contact, quotations, enquiries and orders.

Lavastica International is a rapidly growing trading company that has been supplying technical components to the maritime, offshore, and industrial sectors since 1998. In addition to supplying parts, we also provide technical service and repair. The organization has an informal culture, with a strong focus on a personal approach and short lines of communication.

Due to the growth of our service activities, we are immediately looking for a flexible service technician specializing in fire protection and (marine) electronics.

Work activities

As a Sales Representative, you will be part of our Inside Sales team and play an important role as a link between our customers, Senior Sales Account Managers, and internal departments. From the office, you will support the sales team with daily customer contact, quotations, enquiries, and orders, ensuring that the commercial process runs smoothly.

You will join a young, dynamic, and international team. As we work with several sales teams and regions, we will look at your talents, interests, and ambitions together with you. Based on these, we will determine which sales team and international region best match your strengths and where you can thrive.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being commercially active from an inside sales position, having frequent contact with international customers, and working closely with colleagues in Sales and Logistics.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive colleague who enjoys being part of a commercial team. You enjoy communicating with customers, are service-oriented, and can easily switch between different tasks.

In addition:

• You have at least MBO+ level of education and working experience, preferably with a commercial background
• You preferably have at least 2 years of experience in an inside sales or commercial support role
• You have a good command of the English language; a second foreign language is a plus (the more languages, the better!)
• You are customer-oriented and have an eye for detail
• You have strong communication and administrative skills
• You are independent, proactive, and eager to learn
• You have an affinity with industry and technical trading, preferably within the maritime sector
• Experience with an ERP system, such as Exact Online, is an advantage
