Job summary

Vanderlande Industries B.V. is seeking a Sales Engineer to translate customer needs into technical and commercial warehouse automation concepts.

You will design and evaluate solutions, present them to customers, and ensure alignment with project requirements in a dynamic, international setting. The role requires a Master’s/Bachelor’s in engineering, 2+ years in a technical/logistics environment, and travel ~4 days per month.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Logistics Engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a technical or logistics environment.
• Strong analytical skills to structure and solve complex logistics challenges.
• Affinity with E-commerce and/or Fashion markets is a plus.
• Proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and ability to work in an international team.
• Good command of English, spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 4 days per month).

What You’ll Be Doing?

• Translating customer needs into technical and commercial concepts that meet business and operational requirements.
• Designing and evaluating warehouse automation solutions that balance efficiency, innovation, and cost-effectiveness.
• Presenting and explaining concepts to customers in a clear and convincing way.
• Acting as the technical key point of contact within the organization, ensuring all concept specifications are aligned with project needs.
• Supporting a smooth handover of projects to the execution team, safeguarding continuity and quality.

This position offers a monthly salary range from € 4.500 up to € 5.500 gross. When performance expectations are exceeded, there is even the opportunity to grow beyond this scale.
