Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Rotterdam, Netherlands, seeks a Project Planner / Project Controls Specialist to manage and monitor large-scale, customer-specific projects. The role focuses on scheduling, resource planning, and cost control, collaborating with internal and external teams across Europe.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and have PMI-SP or related scheduling experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or comparable.
• Experience in project management and scheduling / project controls.
• Familiarity with Primavera and MS Project tools.
• Knowledge of MS Office including SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Define responsibilities and allocate tasks within the team for scheduling and adherence to Hitachi Energy policies.
• Develop, update and analyze project schedules and timelines.
• Prepare tender and project time schedules.
• Coordinate schedules with project planners across European units.
• Act as central contact for project planning and progress control with stakeholders.
• Request updates from internal/external team members and visit project sites as needed.
• Monitor progress to ensure on-time completion and contract compliance.
• Ensure projects follow health, safety and environmental guidelines.
