Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Project Planner / Project Controls Specialist for our Rotterdam, Holland team.

The role handles the planning, control and monitoring of large-scale customer projects, ensuring alignment with Hitachi Energy policies and contract requirements. You will collaborate with European project planners, manage schedules, coordinate inputs, and uphold health, safety, and environmental guidelines while delivering on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in project management and scheduling controls.
• Experience with Primavera and MS Project.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• English and Dutch fluent.
• Driving license B.

Responsibilities

• Define responsibilities and tasks within the team for scheduling considering customer specs and Hitachi Energy policies.
• Develop, update and analyze project schedules regularly.
• Prepare tender and project time schedules.
• Collaborate with project planners from other Hitachi Energy units in Europe.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders as central planning contact.
• Request schedule inputs from project team members and visit project sites as needed.
• Monitor and control project progress to meet contract deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental guidelines.
