Job summary

Ethos is seeking a VP of Engineering to help train and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks for professional workflows. You will craft technical design docs, data pipeline docs, and API specifications while evaluating model readiness and documenting tradeoffs for stakeholders.

The role is fully remote with flexible scheduling (5–20 hours per week) and ASAP start. Strong writing, attention to detail, and leadership in engineering contexts are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as software, data, or AI/ML practitioner writing technical design documents, data pipeline documentation, or API specs
• Direct experience evaluating model outputs or system readiness and documenting technical tradeoffs for engineering or cross-functional stakeholders
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Create and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks across core workflows (design docs, data docs, model evaluations)
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to capture requirements and document technical tradeoffs
