Job summary

Stealth Startup is building an AI platform that leverages global social data to transform how decisions are modeled in organisations. We seek a Lead Platform Engineer to own the platform, define the infrastructure strategy and drive secure, scalable deployments across AWS and on‑prem environments.

You will work with 40+ engineers and AI specialists, shaping architecture, security controls and CI/CD practices to support regulated financial environments and data‑heavy AI products.

Qualifications

• Hands-on platform engineering, DevOps or infrastructure experience.
• Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
• Experience with AWS and on-prem infrastructure.
• Experience deploying products in secure or regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of security, networking and access controls.
• Experience building and operating scalable production platforms.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code, containers and CI/CD.
• Ability to make architectural decisions and own delivery.

We believe organisations can make better decisions when they have a clearer understanding of what is happening in the world.

We have built an AI platform that uses global social data and signals to change how decisions are modelled within organisations. Following our Series A, we’re ready to take the technology to its next level and we’re looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to help us build the foundations to make that possible.

We work with organisations in the financial sector, where security, privacy and control over infrastructure are fundamental requirements. Our technology must operate reliably across AWS and secure on-prem environments, making this a central part of the role rather than an occasional infrastructure challenge.

You will work with a team of 40+ engineers and AI specialists, defining how our platform is designed, secured, deployed and scaled.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Owning our platform and infrastructure strategy
• Designing and operating infrastructure across AWS and on-prem environments
• Building and operating secure, production-grade Kubernetes environments
• Building secure and scalable foundations for data-heavy AI products
• Supporting deployments within financial, regulated and security-sensitive environments
• Establishing infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD and automation standards
• Strengthening security, observability, resilience and operational readiness
• Enabling our software, data and AI teams to move faster
• Developing our platform engineering capability as we grow

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong platform engineering, DevOps or infrastructure experience
• Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments — this is a crucial requirement
• Hands-on experience with both AWS and on-prem infrastructure
• Experience deploying products in secure or regulated environments
• A strong understanding of security, networking and access controls
• Experience building and operating scalable production platforms
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code, containers and CI/CD
• The judgement to make important architectural decisions and the ownership to deliver them

Experience supporting financial institutions, Healthcare or similarly regulated customers would be highly valuable.
