Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced Accountant based in the Netherlands to manage Accounts Payable and contribute to the full accounting cycle within a lean, international finance team.

You will collaborate with external firms across multiple jurisdictions, support VAT and tax compliance, and assist with audits in a dynamic digital asset environment. The role emphasizes autonomy, accuracy, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 5 years of accounting experience, ideally with Big Four exposure.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge across the full accounting cycle.
• Experience with multi-entity organizations and intercompany accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Accounts Payable process including invoice review, coding and approvals.
• Prepare and manage journal entries, accruals and prepayments for month-end closing.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing across group entities with external firms.
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations, recharges, and settlements across entities.
• Assist VAT reporting and cross-border tax compliance with external advisors.
• Prepare supporting documentation for external audits and audits requests.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and improve workflows.
• Support cross-functional accounting tasks within a remote, international team.
