Job summary

1GLOBAL is seeking a Senior Accountant to be based in Amsterdam, reporting to the Finance Manager. The role will own core accounting functions and provide exposure to technical topics as the company grows globally.

You will manage balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, financial statements for multiple entities, and participate in audits and automation projects to improve efficiency. A fully qualified accountant with 3–5 years of experience and Big 4 training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with international scope and standards.
• 3–5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably with Big 4 training.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations with high accuracy.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations.
• Prepare financial statements for multiple entities.
• Support wholesale cost calculations during month-end close.
• Assist in worldwide audits with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Contribute to finance automation projects to improve processes.
• Oversee automated cash reconciliation processes and ensure reliability.
• Gain exposure to IFRS 16 lease accounting during close cycles.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements for the finance team.
