Job summary

Avant Arte is seeking a passionate Amsterdam-based freelance exhibition manager to coordinate a November 2026 exhibition. The role covers production of artworks, installation and handling, shipping and logistics, and ensuring on-site sales and the budget guidance is followed.

You will coordinate across production, venue logistics, permits, insurance and risk assessments, supervise staff, and manage AV and catalogue materials.

Qualifications

• Experience managing exhibitions with production coordination.
• Ability to coordinate venue logistics, installation, and shipping.
• Strong project management and budgeting skills.
• Available for freelance commitment in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate venue logistics, floor plans, spatial layouts.
• Oversee production, fabrication sourcing, installation and de-installation.
• Manage shipping, AV, lighting, and on-site operations.
• Direct on-site staff, permits, insurance, risk assessments.
• Ensure accessibility, safety, and budget adherence.
