Job summary

Urban Digital Recruitment Ltd is helping a European early-stage fintech scale its regulated payments infrastructure in the Netherlands with a founding Operations Lead. The role centers on building the operational foundation from scratch, not managing existing processes, and working directly with the founders in a flat, fast-moving team.

You will own onboarding, compliance workflows, and cross-functional processes across Compliance, Product, and Commercial, shaping the platform into scalable,

Qualifications

• Hands-on EU payments experience (SEPA, SWIFT, cross-border)
• Proven ability to build operations from scratch (SOPs, policies, workflows)
• Experience in EMI, FCA or MiCA-regulated environments
• Ability to work across Compliance, Product, Operations and Customer-facing teams

Responsibilities

• Define and build the operational architecture across onboarding, payments, settlement and reconciliation
• Draft the first SOPs, policies and operations manual and adapt them post-live
• Design KYB/KYC and onboarding workflows that balance friction and controls
• Create transaction monitoring and compliance process design with risk controls
• Drive automation and efficiency improvements in compliance and product ops
• Support early operational hiring and cross-functional alignment
