Riverty in Amsterdam, Berlin and Tallinn is seeking an Engineering Lead to guide multiple teams responsible for our Checkout, Consumer & Merchant platforms and consumer finance offerings.

You will combine engineering leadership with architectural thinking to set direction, align teams, and drive performance and innovation across regions. This role emphasizes AI-enabled engineering and scalable delivery within a fast‑paced FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and developing engineering leaders.
• Broad software engineering and architectural expertise across frontend, backend, data and cloud technologies.
• Product/Business mindset translating priorities into technical direction.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across levels.
• Demonstrated AI fluency and ability to translate AI opportunities into engineering practice.
• Ability to align multiple teams in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Shape and own the technical direction across multiple teams, translating architectural vision into clear priorities.
• Lead and grow a team of Engineering Leads to build high‑performing squads.
• Drive engineering and delivery excellence at scale with modern practices while ensuring compliance.
• Balance delivery with long‑term technical sustainability and debt reduction.
• Foster alignment across teams and enable autonomous yet cohesive decision making.
• Identify high‑value AI use cases and scale successful practices across teams.
