Job summary

Axelera AI is seeking a Field Application Engineering Director – Americas to lead a small, high-performing team and oversee technical engagements from evaluation through deployment of the Metis AI platform.

You will collaborate with Americas leadership and global R&D, Product, and Customer Success teams, solving complex challenges and guiding executives. This remote US-based role involves travel and strategic impact.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years in Field Application Engineering, Technical Sales, or Customer Success in semiconductor, AI, or embedded systems.
• 2+ years of experience managing technical teams.
• Hands-on expertise in AI/ML frameworks, embedded/edge computing, and C/C++, Python.
• Experience with computer vision or model deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow the Americas FAE team to deliver exceptional technical support.
• Oversee all technical aspects of customer engagements from pre-sales to post-production.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Product to drive roadmap and customer success.
• Track team performance, project timelines, and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Support hiring and scaling of the Americas FAE function as growth continues.
