Job summary

Axelera AI seeks a Director of Field Application Engineering to lead our APAC FAE function. Initially hands-on with customers, you will build and grow a regional team. The role focuses on hardware evaluation, integration, and production deployment of the Metis AI Platform across OEMs/ODMs and system integrators.

Reporting to the VP of Customer Success, you will collaborate with Taiwan colleagues and global R&D and Product teams. Remote-first, Taiwan-based, with substantial travel.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years customer-facing FAE or applications engineering in semiconductor or embedded systems.
• 5+ years leading FAE teams or managing technical customer-facing functions.
• Experience with embedded Linux, BSPs, and low-level system bring-up.
• Proven ability to drive design wins across OEM/ODM and end users.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware bring-up, board integration, and embedded system debugging on-site and remotely.
• Guide customers deploying AI models and inference pipelines via Voyager SDK.
• Build FAE processes and support infrastructure for APAC region.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage APAC FAE engineers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product and R&D for roadmap input.
