Axelera AI is hiring a Staff/Principal software engineer to own a major area of the Applications stack of the Voyager SDK. You will translate research into deployable architectures, optimize memory usage on heterogeneous hardware, and build reusable CV operator implementations for high performance AI applications.

Lead cross‑functional efforts with compiler, ML frameworks, and product teams, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions while delivering robust, scalable pipelines for

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a strong track record (8+ years) in semiconductor/AI
• Hands-on experience with edge deployment frameworks (OpenVINO/TensorRT) and solving technically difficult problems
• Experience with GPU computing APIs (OpenCL, Vulkan) and model optimization techniques

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical strategy for a major area of the Voyager SDK's application layer
• Define direction for image pre/post processing operators and decoders
• Drive integration of industry-standard model frameworks into the SDK
• Define metadata representations for model types and own libraries for evaluation and visualization
• Ensure end-to-end pipeline latency and throughput across hardware platforms
• Mentor engineers and drive documentation and best practices across the team
