Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager for Foundations & Enablement in the Netherlands. You will lead a cross-functional team delivering foundational capabilities that empower other squads to move quickly, securely, and consistently.

Own people development, performance, and the technical roadmap while balancing diverse product requests. You will oversee developer experience, CI/CD, security practices, tooling, and shared platform capabilities across frontend and backend, partnering with

Qualifications

7+ years in software development with 2+ years in leadership.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience leading cross-functional teams across frontend and backend.
Hands-on understanding of scalability, reliability, and security.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing strategies.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team to deliver on roadmap.
Balance technical priorities with product requests and communicate trade-offs.
Set engineering standards for security, tooling, CI/CD, and developer experience.
Partner with Infrastructure on shared platform concerns and ownership.
Recruit, hire, onboard, and evaluate team performance with regular feedback.
Drive delivery estimates, identify risks, and remove blockers.
Foster documentation, knowledge sharing, and a coaching culture.
