Job summary

Itproposal seeks a dedicated manager for a temporary 1-year assignment to support a multidisciplinary environmental and engineering team focused on high-voltage grid expansion, resolving grid congestion, and driving energy transition projects across the South Holland and Zeeland regions. The multidisciplinary team recently expanded into a 47-professional unit.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's degree or demonstrable academic working and thinking level.
• Leadership track record in complex infrastructure, energy, or maintenance environments.
• Multidisciplinary management experience across strategic, tactical, and operational levels.
• Process & Change delivery capability to improve performance and drive organizational change.
• Leadership style: courageous, adaptive, and inspiring with collaborative mindset.
• Familiarity with standard Dutch infrastructure contract models (e.g., UAV and UAV-GC).
• Language: full professional fluency in Dutch (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and performance management for ~17 engineers and professionals.
• Manage short- and long-term engineering resource planning for the regional team.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement best practices to ensure design compliance with laws and standards.
• Collaborate with regional build teams, Lead Engineers, and external peers to ensure timely delivery of technical scopes and assets.
• Translate strategic guidelines into clear operational objectives and report progress, challenges, and bottlenecks to leadership.
