Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking an Employee Communications & Local Partnerships Specialist for its Rotterdam office. The role supports local community partnerships and internal communications, collaborating with local leadership and cross-functional teams to develop materials and deliver engagement activities.

The position reports to the Sr Manager, Communications EMEI and is based in Rotterdam, NL. Requires 1–3 years of relevant experience and strong writing skills, with English as a primary language

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, natural sciences, economics, engineering or a comparable course of study.
• 1-3 years of relevant corporate social responsibility, community relations or employee communications experience.
• Fluency in English; another language is a plus.
• Empathy toward community concerns and a proactive approach to social impact initiatives.
• Strong writing and editing across digital and print platforms (AP style).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communication plans and materials to enhance the company’s reputation and program impact.
• Analyze metrics and key results to benchmark progress and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate regional partnership initiatives that create sustainable value.
• Maintain relationships with local and regional partners and support community engagement and volunteering.
• Organize community relations activities, events, volunteer initiatives, and contracts in the region.
• Collect and report data on social investments and outcomes for accurate reporting.
• Create internal communication materials for the Rotterdam office (e.g., Rotterdam Internal Newsletter).
• Assist planning and execution of high-profile communications events and Town Halls.
