Job summary

PCN in Amsterdam is seeking a Recruitment Consultant Intern to join the Fintech & Payments team for six months. You will work closely with the Business Development Lead, starting with client outreach and candidate sourcing while learning the full 360 recruitment process.

The role offers a paid internship with a clear path to a permanent role and a four-day week. The position is based at our Singel canal office, with coaching, real responsibilities, and ongoing training from day one.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in the Netherlands.
• Eligible for an internship with the right to work in the EU/Netherlands after.
• Based in or near Amsterdam and genuinely interested in people.

Responsibilities

• Source and pre-screen candidates in Fintech & Payments to build your pipeline.
• Make prospecting calls to clients from day one and learn how briefs turn into a search.
• Sit in on client meetings, supporting the recruitment process end-to-end.
• Attend industry events and contributes to outreach and networking.
• Receive desk coaching and day-to-day training to develop recruitment skills.
• Help close deals from first call to placement as confidence grows.

The Role

We're looking for a Recruitment Consultant Intern to work closely with Christopher, our Business Development Lead, getting stuck into business development from day one while learning the full 360 recruitment process within our Fintech & Payments team.

• Contract: 6 months, paid, with a genuine path to a permanent Recruitment Consultant role
• Location: Amsterdam (Singel canal office)

Day-to-Day

• Be on the phone and start reaching out to prospective clients from day one, guided by Christopher on what works and why
• Prospect and qualify new client opportunities, learning how to spot where the real hiring challenge is
• Source and pre-screen candidates across the Fintech & Payments market, building your own pipeline as you go
• Sit in on client meetings, seeing first‑hand how briefs turn into a search
• Take part in outreach and networking, including calls and industry events
• Receive genuine desk coaching and training, day-to-day, not just in an onboarding week
• Contribute to closing deals, big and small, as your confidence builds - from first client conversation through to placement
