Connect AI, a fast-growing quantum technology company in Delft, seeks a Quantum Success Engineer to support researchers using advanced quantum-control hardware. You will help them deploy experiments, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance, bridging customers with product and R&D teams.
The role focuses on hands-on hardware, calibration, and cross-functional collaboration, with expected Europe-wide travel and a hybrid on-site work model in Delft.
If you’re an experimental quantum physicist who enjoys being close to the hardware but also wants to work more directly with people, this could be a very interesting next step.
I’m working with a fast-growing quantum technology company in Delft that is expanding its Quantum Success Engineering team.
This is not traditional Customer Success.
You’ll work directly with research teams using advanced quantum-control hardware, helping them get their experiments up and running, solve technical issues and get the best possible performance from their systems.
You’ll support customers across the full technical journey, including:
You’ll ideally have a background in experimental quantum physics or quantum engineering, with hands-on experience around real laboratory systems.
A PhD in experimental physics would be highly relevant, although strong MSc candidates with commercial quantum-hardware experience will absolutely be considered.
Experience in Applications Engineering, Customer Success Engineering, Field Applications, Technical Support or working directly with research customers would be particularly valuable.
They are not simply looking for the strongest physicist in the room.
They need someone who genuinely enjoys helping researchers solve problems, can explain complex technical concepts clearly and is comfortable taking ownership when an experiment or system isn’t behaving as expected.
If you’re currently working in quantum research, quantum hardware, applications engineering or experimental physics and want to move into a role where you can combine deep technical work with real customer impact, I’d be keen to speak.
