Job summary

Optiver is offering a ten-week Quantitative Trading Intern program on Amsterdam's trading floor. You will learn from ex-traders and researchers, participate in live-market simulations with real Optiver technology, and work on a research-driven project that directly informs trading decisions.

The program covers comprehensive training, exposure to multiple desks, and a path to potential full-time offers after graduation, in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year student in a STEM field, with the ability to work full time upon graduation in 2027
• Exceptional quantitative and logical reasoning skills
• Interested in strategic games and/or competitive activities
• Experience in programming or scripting in Python is a plus

Responsibilities

• Engage in simulated trading sessions that replicate real market conditions
• Work on projects that directly impact trading
• Develop trading skills and strategies using live markets with simulated capital
• Take part in a research component project
• Gain exposure to various trading and research desks and the financial markets
