Job summary

Optiver in Amsterdam invites penultimate-year STEM students to join a ten-week Quantitative Research Internship. You’ll engage in structured training spanning trading, research and AI and apply quantitative analysis to real market data.

The program culminates in practical, hands-on project work with simulated trading using Optiver technology. Participants gain exposure to traders and researchers, with potential full-time offers in Amsterdam or London after graduation.

Qualifications

• Penultimate-year student in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics or a related STEM field.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid foundation in mathematics, probability and statistics.
• Independent research experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training program across trading, research and AI.
• Work on a collaborative research project developing and testing a systematic trading strategy.
• Analyze large market datasets to test hypotheses and identify patterns.
• Gain hands-on market experience through simulated trading using Optiver technology.
