Job summary

KVE is seeking a Project Manager for the Thermoplastic Welding team to drive projects from optimization to industrialization. You will manage welding tooling optimization, material qualification, and demonstrator development while leading international projects, including EU programs, within budget and schedule.

The role requires 5+ years of technical PM experience, English fluency and Dutch working proficiency, and a passion for composites and aerospace.

Are you our new Project Manager for Thermoplastic Assembly?

At KVE, we've developed a patented induction welding technology for thermoplastic composites — a rivet-less, dust-free way to assemble aircraft structures that cuts weight, cost, and environmental impact. Now we're looking for a Project Manager in the Thermoplastic Welding team to help take this technology from optimization to industrialization.

What you'll do

As Project Manager, you'll drive the projects that turn our induction welding process into a scalable, production-ready technology:

• Set up and manage projects focused on welding tooling optimization, material and process qualification, and prototype/demonstrator development
• Lead international projects (including EU-funded programs), keeping them on budget and on schedule
• Be involved end-to-end on product development projects. From design through manufacturing.
• Making sure process specifications are determined, followed, and continuously optimized
• Act as the bridge between internal teams and external stakeholders, keeping everyone aligned

What you bring

• A BSc/MSc/BEng in Aerospace, Chemistry, Material Science, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in project management in a technical environment. Aviation, manufacturing, high-tech, energy, or chemical industry backgrounds are all welcome
• At least 5 years of work experience, including at least 2 years in project management
• Experience with thermoplastic composites or polymers is an advantage
• Professional proficiency in English and working proficiency in Dutch
• A genuine passion for composites and/or aerospace, and the drive to see an R&D project through to results
• The ability to build connections between people, disciplines, and organizations — and the pragmatism to keep things moving
