Overview

Are you looking for an exciting job in the high-end industry? KVE Composites BV is looking for a CNC Miller to join our current team. KVE is a fast-growing ‘Design and Build’ company in the high-end composites industry. We carry out projects from A to Z for our customers in a wide range of industries, such as the aerospace, defence, maritime and mechanical engineering industries.

Your role

As a CNC operator, you will play an important role within KVE. Your work will consist of setting up and machining single pieces and small series on our modern 5-axis simultaneous machining centres. You will determine the milling strategy, clamping and intermediate checks in consultation with the team. Together with the team, you will be responsible for the machining department, machining machines, related machines and tools. For all business lines within KVE, we machine (composite) semi-finished products and end products, laminating moulds, high-precision dies and all kinds of production tooling. The products range from small parts and samples to large complex assemblies made from a variety of materials and material combinations. You will be working in a young and dynamic team where no two days are the same and where you will be challenged every day.

Your profile

You have a passion for machining and large, precision machine tools, preferably in relation to fibre-reinforced plastics. You are also not afraid of a challenge and are willing to develop yourself further. You are handy, flexible, proactive, eager to learn and cooperative, and you work accurately and efficiently, both independently and as part of a team. You want to develop into a skilled professional in the milling of composite parts. You will spend most of your time milling composite products and tools to manufacture and test these products. Maintaining the benches is also part of your responsibilities. KVE offers a wide variety of products, so your work will never be monotonous.

Requirements

• You preferably have a completed MBO education in Milling, Machining Technology, Mechanical Engineering or (Research) Instrument Making, or at least some experience with machining;
• You are fluent in spoken and written Dutch and preferably also English;
• It is an advantage if you have a driving licence B / BE;
• You live in the Netherlands, preferably in The Hague or the surrounding area.

Your Route

• Independently (learning to) 5-axis milling of composite and metal products;
• Calling up CNC programmes;
• Working with standard measuring equipment;
• Performing (quality) checks on machined and laminated products;
• Carrying out preventive maintenance;
• Contributing ideas on machining sequences and procedures;
