Job summary

FairPlay Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale electrical infrastructure projects in the international data centre market in the Netherlands. You will oversee scope, budget, planning, quality, safety, and risk across multi-country teams and support factory and site activities to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires 7+ years of PM experience in power distribution, strong stakeholder management, and English fluency (Dutch a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of project management experience in electrical engineering, power distribution, or industrial infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record delivering multidisciplinary projects including scope, budget, schedule, risk and quality management.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage; willing to travel internationally (25-40%).
• Valid work permit for the Netherlands.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced (Senior) Project Manager to lead large-scale electrical infrastructure projects within the international data centre market.

For this role, we can consider only candidates who do not need visa sponsorship to work in the Netherlands.

You will join a project organisation responsible for delivering advanced power distribution solutions for the data centre industry. Working closely with engineering, procurement, logistics, finance, manufacturing, and site execution teams, the department manages complex international projects throughout their full lifecycle, from design and manufacturing through installation and commissioning.

About the Role

As (Senior) Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of low- and medium-voltage power distribution projects. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders, overseeing project scope, budget, planning, quality, safety, and risk management. Working with multidisciplinary teams across multiple countries, you will ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer expectations. The role includes supporting factory and site activities, coordinating key project milestones, and driving successful project delivery from order intake through final completion.

Who are you?

• 7+ years of project management experience within electrical engineering, power distribution, or industrial infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of delivering complex multidisciplinary projects, including scope, budget, schedule, risk, and quality management.
• Strong customer-facing, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with solid knowledge of LV/MV power distribution systems.
• Good understanding of HSE standards and safe project execution practices; PMP, IPMA
• Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage. Willingness to travel internationally (25-40%).
• Valid work permit for the Netherlands.
