Job summary

FairPlay Engineering is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer Electrical to take technical ownership of complex power distribution projects for data centres in international settings. You will drive technical execution from concept to commissioning and coordinate diverse engineering teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years as Lead Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of low- and medium-voltage power distribution.
• Experience with switchgear, transformers, and PDUs.
• Familiarity with IEC 61439 and other standards.
• Experience with FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication.

As Lead Engineer Electrical, you will be responsible for the technical execution of complex electrical power distribution projects from concept through commissioning. What do you need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Lead Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer within multidisciplinary electrical engineering projects.
• Experience leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution systems.
• Practical and theoretical experience with switchgear, transformers, and power distribution equipment.
• Experience performing and reviewing short-circuit, protection, and selectivity studies.
• Knowledge of IEC 61439 and other relevant electrical engineering standards.
• Experience preparing technical reports, specifications, engineering documentation, and test plans.
• Ability to manage technical scope, engineering quality, project planning, and engineering budgets.
• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and testing activities.
• Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and guiding engineers within project teams.
• Ability to work effectively within multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage technically demanding customer interactions.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of the Dutch language is considered an advantage.
